Kim Carr is a sculptor, metalsmith, and art educator. Kim’s work has been featured regionally at Munson, The Everson Museum, The Earlville Opera House Galleries, and The Other Side Gallery, as well as in several New York City venues including the Soho20 Gallery. She has been a resident artist at chashama’s Brooklyn Army Terminal location and at Sculpture Space in Utica where she is an active alumnus. She attended Hartwick College for undergraduate school and Syracuse University for her graduate degree. Kim has worked in a variety of art positions from artist’s assistant, museum audio tour manager, art handler, costume jewelry samplemaker, and artisan store manager.

For over a decade, Kim was an instructor at Pratt Munson in Utica, NY teaching 3D and Sculpture. During the pandemic, Kim relocated with her son to her rural family homestead in Otsego County. Here she has begun to rebuild her studio practice and opened a small business that focuses on art jewelry, sculptural commissions, workshops, and her practice.
